With research activities thriving in Malaysian universities and polytechnics, procurement of consumables, reagents and services has become a critical step, during budgeting as well as the conduct of research itself. It does not help much when the few sale persons we barely know by name change product portfolios and sometimes, even change employers! It is definitely catastrophic for researchers and students to keep track with all these changes.
ResearchCart360 - an online shopping platform – is designed by researchers, and is dedicated to all Malaysian researchers. Commonly used consumables and services in many S&T fields can be found on this platform, with specification, picture and pricing. Products can be compared, and the desired products can be added into the cart. Products that you used to buy from different vendors can now be purchased in one single transaction. With just a few clicks, quotations can be generated, followed by easy payment process using Purchase Order, Credit Cards and Online Banking.
ResearchCart360 also serves as your online “Amazon” or “Lazada” to find and explore potential services that may fit your research needs. You can now throw out your salepersons’ name cards, as up-to-date contact information of your favourite providers are displayed here. This service is provided free of charge to our members.
Besides providing a unique experience in shopping for research, it is the aim of ResearchCart360 to promote commercialized products and services by our own colleagues. There will be separate sections to showcase the different services by University facilities and University start-ups. Together, ResearchCart360 shall be the one-stop-platform for Malaysian researchers to purchase consumables and to display their research achievements.
